OUR SERVICES

WHAT WE PROVIDE

At Nationwide, we take care of all the details. All we require from you is your pet/s, their regular food and a valid Health Certificate for Interstate Travel. That's it! We provide a clean roomy USDA approved crate, bottled water, bedding (if requested), bowls, litter boxes and leashes.

TRANSPORT

We pick-up your pet/s at your home or kennel and deliver to the address you specify. For dogs, we take them out for potty breaks 4 times a day*. Cats have access to clean litter boxes inside their crate. We normally feed twice a day unless your pet has special needs. Medications can be administered if needed, and we have on-board refrigeration. Bottled water is available to pets day and night. We call 24 hours ahead to give you a pick-up/drop-off window so you are not sitting at home wondering when we will arrive. You may call or text daily for updates on your pet/s.

(* puppy regulations vary)

OUR VANS

OUR CRATES

At Nationwide we exclusively use Mercedes Benz clean diesels, not only do they excel in fuel mileage but they also provide the kind of longevity and reliability needed for this transporting pets. They are meticulously maintained each month and  are equipped with backup generator, air conditioner, heater, and battery complete with solar power.

We use USDA approved crates that are thoroughly cleaned with a USDA approved cleaner after each use. We sleep in the van with your pets, they are not left alone at night! Our vans are temperature controlled for your pets comfort. The van is equipped with live 2-way sound and video for when we have to step out.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GO ACROSS COUNTRY?

We quote 5-7 days to go across country on a shared ride, typically it only requires 5. On rare occasions it takes longer due to weather, van issues or other emergencies. Each client is given a window of dates for pick-up and drop-off as a guide to know when to expect us.

WHAT IS A SHARED RIDE?

A shared ride is the most economical way to transport your pets. Your pet is picked up and transported with other pets in the van and are driven to their destination based on the shortest route. Each pet has it's own crate and all dogs are walked individually.

WHAT IS A PRIVATE RIDE?

A private ride is where you can dictate when and where your pets will be picked up and they travel without other pets on-board. They travel with our complete attention and go directly to their new location. This method costs more but works well with larger pet families. This method is also the fastest.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

We give active service members, multi-pet families and regular customers 10% off.

WHAT IS A HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR INTERSTATE TRAVEL?

The Health Certificate for Interstate Travel assures us that your pet/s is healthy enough to travel and is free from fleas, ticks and/or any other infectious disease, insuring your pet is onboard with other healthy pets. It's also required by many states we travel through as well as the USDA.

WHAT TYPE OF INSURANCE DO YOU HAVE?

Our vans are insured with a Commercial Policy and each pet is insured for $750. Additional insurance for each pet is available at extra cost.

WHAT TEMPERATURE IS YOUR VAN INSIDE?

DOES MY PET HAVE TO RIDE IN A CRATE?

DO YOU HAVE ANY BREED RESTRICTIONS?

Typically; No, however we do not transport vicious or mean pets that might be a threat to the other pets or the drivers. We reserve the right to decline transport to any pets that display such behavior at time of pick-up.

We strive to keep the van between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Our vans are very well insulated to keep your pets and our drivers comfortable. We have experienced -25 degrees to over 122 degrees and kept everyone safe.

DO I HAVE TO USE DRY FOOD?

Typically, dry food works best on the road because the pets are not in their normal routine. Also, the travel often reduces their appetite as well as changing time zones. We prefer dry food bagged into zip-locks for each meal. Wet food can be sent if needed. It's important not to change your pets diet before travel.

CAN I SEND ALONG MY PETS CRATE OR AN EXTRA BAG OF FOOD?

Normally we cannot accept crates, pet beds, extra bags of food, toys, bowls etc. We simply don't have extra room and wouldn't want things to get lost or misplaced. Special arrangements can be made at extra cost.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE USDA CERTIFIED?

The transport of animals is regulated by the USDA to provide safe humane treatment of your pets. Our vans have been inspected by the USDA to insure that we comply with all Federal Regulations.

In a word, Yes, USDA requires pets to be housed in a proper sized crate to insure their safety as well as the safety of the other pets. All crates are firmly secured in the van.
